Ten strings is an acoustic duo (violin and guitar) based in South Devon. Alison Holt (violin) and Mike Edmonds (guitar) have performed together since 1998 and met through teaching their instruments in Torbay and the surrounding areas.

MUSIC FOR ALL OCCASIONS
Ten strings have a wide variety of music in their repertoire - light classical from Baroque to 20th century, Spanish classical, South American, Jazz and British folk. They can even arrange specific pieces if requested
(if appropriate to the duo). 

There are many functions that our music would greatly enhance.

Weddings (civil or religious):- Our music can accompany; the arrival of the congregation, the entrance of the bride, the signing of the register and the exit of the bride and groom after the ceremony. We can also play during the wedding breakfast.

Art Exhibitions, Banquets, as an accompaniment to any important dining occasion or drinks receptions, even in private homes. Whatever the occasion, Art Exhibition, Banquet, Dinner or Drinks Reception, our music will help to make it special. 

VOLUME
We will always consult with you to understand the exact requirements of the occasion and although there are situations where the music has a specific ‘centre stage’ function (signing the register at weddings for example) more often than not it is there to allow conversation and not drown it out.
